That there is the brand spanky new top-of-ye-range M-Audio MIDI/USB conroller, the Axiom Pro, now in resplendent white hue, and in 25 ($499 retail), 49 ($599 retail), and 61-key flavors ($699 retail... street prices will be less). Like its predecessors, it has more knobs, buttons and drum pads than one human could possibly need as well as eight of those MPC-ish pads (if you've been reading these posts, you already know that 2009 is the year of MPC-ish thingee, so clearly M-Audio had no choice). The big deal here would be the new TruTouchâ„¢ keyboard action (which means, "it feels nicer than the old one did"), as well as HyperControl technology which intelliently automatically maps controls to your DAW's onscreen parameters. Available now-ish.
