Toft superstar

Ok, I really really want one. In case you're not up on this, you're looking at the Toft Audio ATB-16 mixing console, created by famed British board desinger Malcolm Toft. It's a direct descendant of the large-format Trident 80B console, and brings the same sound quality to the affordable realm (starting around $5k, more for 24 and 32-ch versions). This is a real-deal modular analog console that you can make records with, and there's simply nothing near it in this price range- current users include Beck, Tchad Blake, The Arcade Fire and a host of other notable producer/artists. Recently Toft did some updates (mainly cosmetic and making all I/O fully balanced), but the audio path is unchanged. Your good friends at audioMIDI.com are doing a special blowout of new "version 1" 16-channel versions: $4499 plus you get the long-awaited meter bridge FREE (a $549 value). There aren't too many left, so grab one while you can (well, maybe "heft with two strong people"). Not yet on the audioMIDI.com website, so call us at (866) 283-4601.
