NAMM '09- D-CAM Synthsquad:the squad with a lot of mod
Friday, January 16, 2009 at 5:52PM
From fxpansion comes the very kickass D-CAM Synth Squad suite, consisting of three synths, done up with component-level modeling, i.e. they went to great lengths to model all the parts of original instruments for super-realistic analog behavior. Ya get all three synths in the package:
Strobe: quick and easy monosynth... Roland SH-101-like in character.
Cypher: big, bad ass polysynth capable of wicked audio-rate mod (not easy to get right in virtual world)... the first plug capable of thru-zero modulation for you modular synth nerds in the crowd. Zeroscillator, anyone?
Amber: modeled divide-down string synth in the vein of ARP String Ensemble/Solina, et al. This might be the first modeled divide-down style synth too. Hmmm.
Fusor: this module lets you combine and modulate all three as one plug, not unlike the Korg virtual Wavestation/Polysix/MS-20 dealie.
Shipping second quarter, should be $299 street price for the whole shebuegla.
