That said, a lot of folks have been picking up Toontrack's E-Z Drummer. E-Z Drummer gives you the neat "real kit" user-interface along with a ton of browsable pre-programmed beats that can be easily drag and dropped into your DAW's arrange window. It's super-affordable, and there's plenty of additional sounds and patterns available with Toontrack's EZX Expansion Packs. I made the swell video above to show it off... enjoy!
