SILK stalkings

In the "things I missed at NAMM" category comes Quantum Leap's SILK sample library. Like its predecessor RA, SILK presents a huge array of eastern instruments (25 gigs), this time focusing on Persia, India and China (not to be confused with 80's artists Europe, Asia, or UK). It's chock full of crazy-authentic instruments you've never heard of and was recorded at East West Studios, the legendary former Cello/Western Recorders, as well as Capitol Studios (where some dude named Frank used to sing). It also includes the latest PLAY engine with convolution reverb, scripting and micro-tuning.
Before I gag myself on any more press-releasey verbage, if you do film soundtrack stuff where hordes of folks engage in serious hand-to-hand combat in exotic lands, SILK is the biz-omb. Get 'er HERE.
